Smart Class

To help break the monotony of the traditional 'chalk-and-talk method' and promote interactive teaching, Vikash has installed Digital Smart Boards in its classrooms. The teachers use this latest technology and simplify the lessons taught for better retention.

Language Lab

To improve oral and written communication skills, the school has established Modern English Language Laboratory. The course helps the learners speak English with correct pronunciation with the help of user-friendly technology.

Sports

Vikash Knowledge Hub has a multi-purpose indoor sports complex close to its hostel wing that has all the facilities for the students to practice badminton, table tennis and gymnastics.

Transport

The fleet of buses drives down to various parts of the city to bring the Day Boarders to the school. This makes it convenient for parents to send their children to school on time, safely and comfortably. Every bus is provided with an attendant to ensure the safety of the children in transit. They are provided with communication devices, which keep them in contact with the school throughout the journey. On alighting, the students are escorted to their respective classrooms by the ushers specifically appointed for this purpose. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in the school premises to ensure the safety of every child.

Swimming Pool

Apart from a specially designed toddler pool, the CBSE School at Sambalpur hosts a well designed Swimming Pool with an automatic filtering plant. It is setting up swimming pools in other branches too for students to obtain training right from their early age in this life saving discipline. Well-trained staff not only trains the students in the finer arts of swimming, but also is present with them always during their specified training periods.

For health freaks the campus has a multipurpose gymnasium with multi-station workout facilities, treadmill and so on.

Library-Media center in Vikash institutions has a vast collection of books in all subjects, reference books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers and interactive CDs, which the students can borrow or refer during the school hours. Weekly classes are organized on book reading, play-acting and storytelling to inculcate in the students the habit of utilising this treasure trove of knowledge. Students are also encouraged to spend their leisure time in the library to explore informative and interesting topics on current affairs or any other subject of their interest.

ICT Lab

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become an integral part of our daily life. Vikash Group has reacted to the change positively and has established modern ICT labs that have the latest hardware and software with high-speed Internet connectivity. Students are provided computer education programme that surpasses CBSE stipulations. Professionals assist the students to browse the Internet in a filtered way to gather information related to their projects and ever-changing technology. Vikash has developed Student Information System (SIS) that is exclusively designed to provide all information pertaining to students' progress. Parents are updated and provided access to information about their ward's progress and to interact with teachers online through SIS.

Parent Orientation
